Long-term visual damage after acute methanol poisonings: Longitudinal cross- sectional study in 50 patients

This article focuses on the ongoing monitoring of individuals who suffered from methanol poisoning in the Czech Republic during the years 2012 and 2013. It builds on the project “Prospective Study of the Long-Term Health Consequences of Acute Methanol Intoxications,” carried out under the National Action Plan of the Ministry of Health for the year 2013. The collaboration between the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Stomatology and the Toxicological Center of the VFN enabled myographic examinations of the orofacial muscles, aimed at assessing the extent of peripheral nervous system damage.
